The congress dedicated to Murillo aims to be the scientific forum in which a new vision on the artist is offered through the most outstanding experts in his figure and his time. The objective is to analyse his work transversally with the help of the contributions made to date, shedding new light on his figure and emphasizing the singularity of his work from multifaceted approaches that contemplate literature, history, cultural history, religion, mentality, society, art history, aesthetics and their transcendence throughout time from the seventeenth century to the present.
