This documentary, which will be premiered worldwide in the framework of the EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL OF SEVILLE (SEFF 2017), in the Lope de Vega Theatre, not only seeks to join the stream of information that will revalue the master´s figure but it also seeks to cover the audio-visual void that exists around him with the rigour of its most renowned scholars: Enrique Valdivieso, specialist in Sevillian painting of the 17th century; Guillaume Kientz, curator of the Louvre Museum; Gabriele Finaldi, director of the National Gallery in London; Benito Navarrete, History of Art lecturer; and Valme Muñoz, director of the Museum of Fine Arts in Seville, among others. The four cities where you can most enjoy Murillo’s imprint – Seville, Madrid, London and Paris- serve as the setting to understand his pictorial legacy, among which is the famous ‘The Young Beggar’, which we will accompany on its journey back to the Louvre after visiting its home city on the occasion of the exhibition ‘Murillo and Velázquez’.
